Returns, Refunds & Damages Policy

William George Food Distribution

At William George Co, we take pride in delivering high-quality products and reliable service. Due to the nature of food distribution, our return and refund policies are designed to ensure food safety while addressing legitimate issues promptly and fairly.

 

Damaged or Incorrect Products

Customers must inspect all deliveries at the time of receipt.

  • Any damaged, missing, or incorrect items must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported to William George Co. within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Claims submitted after this timeframe may not be eligible for credit or replacement.

  • Photos may be requested to support damage claims.

Approved claims will result in a credit to the customer’s account or a replacement product, at William George’s discretion.

 

Returns

Due to food safety regulations:

  • Perishable items (including refrigerated and frozen products) are non-returnable once delivered.

  • Non-perishable items may be eligible for return only with prior authorization from William George Co.

  • Returned products must be:

    • Unopened and in original packaging

    • In resalable condition

    • Returned within an approved timeframe

Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

 

Refunds & Credits

  • Refunds are generally issued as account credits, unless otherwise approved.

  • Credits will be applied once the claim has been reviewed and approved. 

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for:

    • Products refused without cause

    • Improper storage or handling after delivery

    • Customer ordering errors

 

Order Refusals

Refusal of delivery without valid cause may result in:

  • Restocking fees

  • Delivery charges

  • No credit issued for perishable goods

 

Recalls

In the event of a product recall:

  • William George Co. will promptly notify affected customers

  • Instructions for product handling, return, or disposal will be provided

  • Credits or replacements will be issued in accordance with the recall guidelines
